Orval Sundset

Stewart "Orval" Sundset passed away peacefully at his home in Bashaw on September 11, 2017.

Orval was born August 18, 1949 at Lacombe Hospital, the youngest child of Marie and Arne Sundset. He grew up on the family farm in the Lake Bend area near Mirror and attended  Mirror School. Growing up on the farm was always full of fun and adventure.  He spent many hours shooting muskrats with his brother Jim and enjoyed all aspects of the farming life.  From doing chores to running the tractor and combine, Orval learned all about farming from his father.  He eventually took over all the farming duties in his parents later years.  He stayed on the farm until his parents passing and eventually settled in Bashaw.  He enjoyed playing bingo.  If you couldn't find Orval, just go down to Bashaw Hotel Restaurant - he could always be found having breakfast or a coffee with the guys.

Orval was predeceased by his parents; brothers Orin and Jim; and sister Kay Pivert.  He leaves to mourn his special lady friend, Deb Drever; niece Theresa Thiessen; nephews Ken (Kathy) Pivert and Doug (Colleen) Pivert; as well as many family and friends.

A family graveside celebration of life will be held at Mirror Cemetery at a later date.
