Marlene Barbara (Oberst) Forsberg

On September 10, 2018 Marlene Forsberg passed away suddenly at her home in Ponoka.

Marlene will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She will be remembered for her kind, compassionate, and generous heart.  Marlene worked as a Registered Nurse for 45 years in Alberta and positively touched the lives of many patients during her life.

Marlene is lovingly survived by her sons Craig (Cara) and Brett (Shelley); grandsons Mattias and Grey; siblings Les (Bev) Oberst, Darryl Oberst, Donna (Ken) Kinley, Barry (Cherrill) Oberst, Kevin (Sandy) Oberst, and Brenda Morter; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Marlene was predeceased by her parents George and Victoria Oberst; brother Joseph; nephew Ryan Kinley; and her husband Verne Forsberg.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Ponoka Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2018.

Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation.
