Marilyn Jean Hartnell

Marilyn passed away in the early hours of August 22, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was predeceased by her parents, Jean and Ben McBeath and by her sister, Charlotte Heemeryck.
Marilyn leaves behind her husband of 48 years, Bob; sons, Rob (Rachel) and Corey; very close friend, Sonja; brothers, John (Rebecca), Dan, Dwayne (Lisa); grandchildren, Cayden, Mya, Bobby, Adrianna and step-granddaughters, Rayvin and Keely.
After moving to Wetaskiwin in 1976, Marilyn worked at Sacred Heart School for 10 years.  The next 20 years she worked at the Wetaskiwin Hospital in various capacities, ending up as the volunteer coordinator until her retirement in 2012.  Marilyn was an advocate for Wetaskiwin and a great supporter of her family.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at the Wetaskiwin Hospital for their care.
Marilyn’s request for a private family funeral will take place at a later date.
In her memory, donations in lieu of flowers are gratefully accepted to the Wetaskiwin Health Foundation, 6910-47 Street, Wetaskiwin, AB T9A 3N3.
