Marie Sophia (Fath) Ferguson

Marie Ferguson, daughter of Greg and Sabina Fath, was born at Champion, Alberta on November 14, 1918.  She was raised in southern Alberta and took all her schooling there. Marie and Victor Ferguson were married July 13, 1946. To this union four children were born:  Janice McVittie, Leslie Ferguson, Margaret Rutherford, and Yvonne Splett.

Marie is lovingly remembered by her daughter Janice, granddaughter Laurie (Kirk), great-granddaughter Taija, and great-great-grandsons Barrett and Chase, great-grandson Justin and great-great-granddaughter Ava, great-granddaughters Rebecca and Sasha, and grandson Keith and great-grandsons Keegan and Dylan; her son Leslie (Carol), grandson John (Sarah), and great-grandchildren Jacob and Willow, granddaughter Paula (Ian), and great-grandchildren Emily and Dane; her daughter Margaret (Brian), granddaughter Kyla, and granddaughter Shannon (Dylan) and great-grandson Van; her daughter Yvonne (Irvin), grandson Tyler (Teri) and granddaughter Shayla (Cody); her sister-in-law Georgina Fath; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Marie was predeceased by her husband Victor in 1988; her parents; her grandson Roderick Ferguson; five brothers; four sisters; and Victor’s parents and siblings.

A Funeral Service will be held at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Ponoka at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2018 with the Interment Service following at Forest Home Cemetery.
