I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. French and send my sympathy to the family. My dad shared many coffee sessions, and other times, with him, and always kept me up-to-date with the French family until he left Wetaskiwin. Mr. and Mrs. French were both dear friends of my parents, and they too would have been saddened. My thoughts are with you.

They say it takes a village to raise a child! Ma-Me-O was such a place where parents looked out for their children as well as other's children. Everyone knew everyone. It was our second home. The French Family was and is one of those families. "Mr. French", and we did address our friends parents by their last name, knew our parents and ours knew yours. He is one of those we respected and he truly cared. To hear the name French and you knew! God has already Blessed him so I am asking him to Bless his family in your time of sorrow. He will not be forgotten as he he will continue to ive in our hearts especially when you make that turn into Ma-Me-O and see the Lake!

Dear Shirley and family: Dorothy and I were saddened to see Mac's obituary notice in today's Journal. Our heartfelt sympathy to you. I still have fond memories of the "younger" French boy who brightened our growing-up years with his sly humour and shy smile. God give you peace!

Shirley, Donna and Doug,

Sending our sincere condolences to all, in the loss of Mac. We both admired him, and will remember him as a kind and sincere gentleman. Mac was a " barbershopper" with both of our fathers, and I ( Cheryl) will fondly remember accompanying him on the piano in various musical productions. May he rest in peace.....a life well lived.

Dear Shirley,

I just read about Mac's passing which brought back a rush memories of conversations with my mom. You and Mac were always so kind to her, including her with your mom, whom I also loved, on many occasions. I know, though Mom and your mom, what a good man Mac was and how highly esteemed by family and friends. My sincerest condolences.

Shirley, Doug, Donna Family & Friends. Its sad to lose someone in death. What helped me the most was prayers and faith in God’s promise at Psalm 34:18 “God is close to the broken heart: he saves those who are crushed in spirit.” For more free comforting scriptures, please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. God’s Kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for will bring about these wonderful promises. My prayers are with you at this difficult time. If you wish to contact me at: ikeyes@msn.com
