Rod is one member of an amazing family! His passing is indeed a great loss of pure spirit . I feel blessed to have known him and share in his love of life, humor and his savior . I never spared a smile when he was present in a dressing room or just visiting me at my office. My deepest sympathy to all the Fonteyne family, He will be missed but more than that----He will be remembered!!

Thinking of you Larra and waiting for you to get home. Rod was such a vibrant person that will stay in every heart of anyone he met. He has left such an impression on this whole town of Ft St John and we were lucky to have him for as long as we did. RIP Rod.

So sorry to of Rod's passing. He was one of the most fun guys to go to Oldtimer hockey tournaments with, having a great time but serious come game time! Went to Fort St. John a few years ago & was amazed at what an icon he was in that community. He will be missed.
