On June 25, 2019 Johannes “Jan” de Goeij passed away in Ermelo, the Netherlands, at the age of 78 years. Jan will be lovingly remembered by his family; his wife Ada de Goeij-Agterof; his sons John (Ingrid), Arjan (Yvonne) in Wetaskiwin and his Canadian grandchildren; Miriam, Isabella, Edwin, Lou-ann, Joshua, Linette, Anouk and Karley; his daughters Karin (Geert) and Suzanne (Adrie) in Zeewolde, the Netherlands and his Dutch grandchildren; Elise, Leonie, Chiel en Willemijn; his sisters in the Netherlands: Nanny and Mieke and his sister Thea who now resides in France as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and many friends.

A ‘Celebration of Jan’s Life’ was held on July 1, 2019, Jan’s beloved Canada Day in Lelystad, the Netherlands. The family in Canada will also organize a ‘Celebration of Life’ at a still to be determined date in Wetaskiwin. (Please check back for more details.)
