Gawney Mark Hinkley

On May 30, 2018 Mr. Gawney Hinkley of Ponoka passed away at the Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre at the age of 84 years.

Gawney is survived by his loving partner of six years, Josephine Michaluk; his daughter Louanne (Rick) Crawford, their daughter Marie (Nick) Vandenhurk and grandchildren Khyanna, Libby, Jacob, Mila, Ezra, Jada, and Caleb, daughter Michele Crawford, daughter Gina (Cody) Janke and grandchildren Jeremiah and Everlee, and son Steven Crawford; his son Mark (Kristi) Hinkley and their children Cheyanne and Blake; his son Blair and his children Sara, Auston, and Ethan; his brother Leighton (Elsie) Hinkley; Josephine’s children Catherine Brownlee (Haim Cohen), Roxanne (Darwin) Kirton and their children Reighan (Dylan) and Jared, and Stephanie Michalko and her children Paige and Malia; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  Gawney was predeceased by his wife Shirley in 2010.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church (5128-53 Street, Lacombe) at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2018.  The Interment Service will follow at Forest Home Cemetery in Ponoka.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations are gratefully accepted to Ponoka F.C.S.S. Cancer Fund, Ponoka and District Health Foundation, or Catholic Social Services.
