Gary 'Doc' David Harbin

It is with unbelievable sadness that we share the news of the passing of Dr. Gary Harbin, DVM.  Gary passed away at home, surrounded by those who loved him, on March 9, 2019. 

Gary fought a valiant and courageous fight against cancer, after having being diagnosed in 2015.  Gary’s dedication and love for people ran deep.  We will cherish the memory of his beautiful smile and hold him in our hearts forever.

Gary is survived by his wife Jo Harbin; his son Bruce Harbin and daughter-in-law Tara, granddaughter Sadie, grandson-in-law Drew Spencer and great-granddaughter Dallie, grandson Levi, and granddaughters Mya and Ella; his daughter Carrie Burks and son-in-law Jordan, and grandchildren Boone, Zola, and Tess; his sister Carol Harbin; his loving companion Mandi Matheson; as well as many relatives and friends.  Gary was predeceased by his parents Tom and Marj Harbin of Tangleflags, Saskatchewan. 

A Funeral Service will be held at the Calnash Ag Event Centre in Ponoka at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2019.  The Interment will follow at Forest Home Cemetery. 

Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to S.T.A.R.S., Ponoka Stampede Youth Foundation, or the Central Alberta Cancer Foundation.
