Etta Ruth Sweet was born on April 24, 1932 in Ponoka, Alberta to parents Cora and James Barnes and passed away on July 25, 2018 in Ponoka at the age of 86 years. She is lovingly remembered by her children Marion (Lloyd) Snider, Bill Sweet, Gord (Judy) Sweet, Donna (Keith) Johnson and Marj Smith; eleven grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Etta was predeceased by her husband Max, her son-in-law Kevin Smith and her daughter-in-law Carolyn Sweet.
