We have a special place in our hearts for Aunt Enid's gentle grace and kindness. Like our sister, Karen Mingione, we have wonderful memories of her during our visits to Riverside Ranch. Our sympathy and love go to Uncle Roy, Vince, Wes & families.

Roy, Vince, Patti and extended family. Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Enid. On behalf of myself and the rest of my associates we have made a donation to the Haitian Children's Aid Society in lieu of flowers. Take care.

Auntie Enid was one of the steadiest women that I know -- constant, and trustworthy. Gentle with people and animals. She had an appreciation for all living things, and worked long days to care for all of them. She worked quietly and efficiently, making it look easy. She taught me to appreciate other people, animals, crops and gardens. I admire her.

Aunt Enid reminds me so much of Grandma Ruth. Soft spoken and strong. I have a photo of Grandma feeding a sheep from a bottle and a very similar photo of Aunt Enid feeding a calf from a bottle. Their expressions are much the same; calm and caring. She was sharp and watchful, noticing animal’s needs and mine too when I came to visit for the summers. She was a listener and showed honest caring compassion. She was a hardworking woman, but always gave me her attention and taught me how to help with smaller chores around the farm. She was patient with me, showing how things worked and taught me how to appreciate plants, farm animals, and how to care for them. I remember working in the garden with her, milking the cows, caring for the cats and dogs Buddy and Pal. One summer we braided yards and yards of plastic twine rope to make bridles for the horses when the farm’s bridles were stolen. She made me feel helpful and important. She never minded when I barged into her home to hunt for Vince or Wes, grab a PB&J sandwich, or wash out a cut or scrape. She helped me learn to ride a horse, and always had dinner and supper on the table.
