Duane Grose of Ponoka passed away after a two year battle with cancer. Duane will be missed by his loving wife Gail (Ruggles), and his children Greg (Tammy) of Camrose, Robert (Cathy) of Cochrane, Karen (Don Napier) of Edmonton, and Derek of Carcross, YT. He was also the proud Grandpa to Rebecca (Brian Topping), Lindsay (Steven Eckert), Taylor Napier, Stephanie Grose (fiancé Brydan Sandberg), Lauren Grose, and Josiah Grose. He was also Great-Grandpa to Sterling and Bennet Topping. Duane is also survived by his siblings Rena Bell of Claresholm, Herbert (Cora) of Edmonton, Ruth (Helmut Abler) of Germany, and Albert of Ponoka. Duane was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Martha, and his sister Olive Woolley.
A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held at the First Baptist Church in Ponoka at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Samaritan’s Purse, the Building Fund of FBC, or the charity of one’s choice.
