On August 8, 2018, Dr. Helmut Spenst of Lacombe passed away at the age of 85 years.
Helmut is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Martha; son, David; daughters, Michelle Spenst and Julie (Shawn) Nicol; grandchildren, Andrew Johnson-Spenst (and his mother, Elaine), Cali and Cannon Nicol; siblings, Mary (Olen) Nations, Kathy Zachary, Art (Charlene), Hilda (Joe) Welygan, Elsie Spenst, Nettie (Victor) Gill, Erna Virene as well as numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family members and many friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Heinrich and Katharina; sisters, Tina Spenst and Elizabeth Shearer and by his brother, Henry.
Helmut practiced Dentistry for 49 years in both Saskatoon and Red Deer.  His most cherished hobby was farm life and spent his whole life farming his homestead in Saskatchewan and loved farming his land in Lacombe.
Funeral Service: College Heights Seventh-day Adventist Church, 6910 University Drive, Lacombe, on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 3:00 p.m.
