I only recently learned of Dorothy's passing and was sad to hear this unfortunate news. I knew Dorothy and her family many, many years ago when they first moved to Tomahawk. I was very excited to learn of a girl my age moving into the "neighbourhood" (I lived on an acreage outside Tomahawk) with whom I could play. That girl, of course, was Randi and we were fast friends for a number of years. I spent a great deal of time with Randi and her family, and admired her parents as wonderful people who treated their children with respect.
Dorothy, as I always knew her by, was someone I respected because she was all about respect. She and Randi had a loving relationship built on a solid foundation, something I had never experienced that ultimately altered my perception of life in a positive direction. I can only imagine the hole that Dorothy's passing has left for her family.
My condolences to Al, Randi, Michael, and their families. I wish you peace as time goes on. May you always know that Dorothy was a powerful force in the world who made many people's lives better by her presence.

I wanted to express my heartfelt condolences to all of Dee's family. For right now, there's no detour around grief, no shortcut through mourning. However, 2 Cor.4:7 says that God can give us, "... power beyond what is normal ", to go from one day to the next. This does not mean that we no longer cry, or that we forget. It means we recover. We recover because of our hope. Jesus Christ talked about our hope in John 5:28 which says, "... all those in the memorial tomb will hear his voice and come out. Jesus was referring to the resurrection. That is our amazing hope! 2 Cor.1:3 describes our Creator as, "... the God of all comfort ". One way that God comforts us is by moving people who care about us to give us words of encouragement that we need to hear. May the God of comfort be your comfort now, during this time of sorrow. Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
My heart goes out to you and your family at this difficult time.
