Dale Kelley Obituary

James Dale (‘Dale’) Kelley

Dale Kelley passed away on January 1st, 2019 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital from complications stemming from his battle with FSH Muscular Dystrophy. He was 76 years old.

Dale was born in Camrose, Alberta on May 25th, 1942 to Jack and Ann Kelley. Dale grew up in the Wetaskiwin area where he enjoyed playing a multitude of sports, hanging out at Pigeon Lake, riding horses and wreaking havoc with his friends (apparently known as ‘the Spitfires’). He went on to get his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Seattle followed by a Master’s degree (Psychology) from the University of Missoula. Dale married Patricia Vogeli in 1968 and they returned to Wetaskiwin in 1976 to raise their family.  Dale worked as a realtor in Wetaskiwin for over 30 years as well as served on the Catholic School Board, Wetaskiwin Hospital Board, Provincial Health Board, Alberta Mental Health Board, Alberta Real Estate Board and as a City Councilor.

Dale is survived by his wife Patricia, his son Craig (Tanya), daughters Shannon (Brett) and Sarah (Neil), granddaughter Ashlyn, and his sister, LeeAnne.
