Debra Long Obituary

Debra Lynn Long (Hunter), was born November 20th, 1964, in Innisfail, Alberta. She passed suddenly at home on November 21st, 2021.

Debra, Debbie, Aunty Doobs, Hunter, Momma D, Grandma D, Gma, Lebbie Dong, was not just a person but a force of nature. Debbie graduated in Westlock in 1982 and went on to wear many different hats. Debbie was a TA for many years, in Rocky she was known as Momma D & the Milk Lady, in Crestomere she was known as Mrs. Long but let’s be real, Longster is what she would hear most often. Debbie wasn’t scared of being honest even with children, treating them as human as any adult. Everyone was given a voice in her world, she never wanted anyone to be left behind or to feel inadequate about themselves. The second career that was not just a career, but a lifestyle was WFG. This was apart of Debbie’s glow up; it completely changed her entire life and being. With the support of her loving husband Richard, Debbie was able to create & find this world of positivity, growth, and self discovery. Debbie will be sadly missed by everyone that knew her, she was a tremendous light to anyone she had met.

Debbie was predeceased by her parents Art & Leona Hunter; sisters Elaine Myers & Mary Jendricks; and brothers-in-law Elvin Myers, Sam Lance, Don Vincent, Ed Jenricks, and Henry Giles. Debbie is survived by her loving husband & partner in crime, the cockaroach himself, Richard Long; her daughter Ashley Long aka Squids, her partner Dan Micek & his daughter McKayla Grace; her son Raymond Long aka boy; her sisters Norma Lance, Fran Vincent, and Viles Gabby (Giles); her brother Robert Hunter; and numerous nieces, nephews, and family she made all over.
