I want to say thankyou, to each and every person who knew my father Bob Hay. My Dad had a lot of acquaintances, many friends, a lot of work colleagues, friends who were like family, his family of origin, extended family, his family through marriage, his two sons and myself, a grand child and a great grand child. He was born and raised in Edmonton AB. He married and raised his children in the RM of Leduc, and the RM and city of Wetaskiwin. He was married a second time. He had significant other partnerships. Over his 70 years with us here, he knew and loved many many people! My Dad was exceptional, in many ways. His life was not without struggles. His perseverance and determination layed a solid foundation of our family. He did his best always as provider and was unwavering as head of our family. He was so extraordinary in all his undertakes. He was the coolest and most interesting person, my Dad. His faith was strong and he lived according to principle. He was a man of tradition, his opinions were absolute. To every person haveing had a connection or relation to Bob Hay (Dad), I want to say thankyou. Thankyou for sharing a part of your life with this remarkable man. I miss him dearly, and it really hurts right now. Thankyou to each and everyone of you for your presence, friendship, prayers, flowers, cards, condolences, thoughts, and kind words. It means a lot. Bob Hay was a sensitive soul, he was generous and thoughtful. He helped many people in many different ways, it is sad that he is no longer here with us. I am holding onto the memories and life lessons he taught me, and I too will get through this with perseverance and determination.

I am so sorry to learn of Bob’s passing.
Although we never met in person, Bob and I spent many many hours researching our family trees, exchanging information, and posting his grandmother Lizzie Hannah Arnsby’s family tree online.

We are so sad to hear that Bob has passed away. He was one of Vics oldest friends. Our sincere condolences to all his family. Our only comfort is knowing that his earthly struggles are over and he is at rest.
