Message from Brent and Wanda Wahlstrom and family

We are sorry to hear of Don's passing, but comforted to know we will meet again. He is now in heaven with his precious Lord and Saviour, and his wife Vi. I (Wanda) have many special memories of Don (and Vi) when he was pastor of the church I was attending as a teen. One memory that stands out is of him cutting up a cow with our family. At that time I never dreamt a real pastor would do something like that! It made an impact on me. Don was our pastor, but he and his wife were also very good friends. So appreciated his letters, visiting with him on the phone and in person over the years. We will miss him and his cheerful, caring spirit.

Don and I were fellow pastors in Dauphin, Manitoba in the 1960's. I recall helping Don
cut wood for their winter stove to cook and keep warm. His church was rural; mine was in the town of Dauphin. We fellowshipped together a good deal of the time. A good friend and fellow labourer who loved the Lord Jesus with a passion. May his reward be great! Blessings on his family. Pastor L K Redinger ret.

My name is Ian Pops, I'm the chairman of the board for Faith Bible Camp, I am so sorry to hear if Don's passing. It was great seeing Don every summer at camp when he would bring the bread donations. We rejoice in knowing that he is now at home with Christ in heaven. On behalf of the entire Faith Bible Camp family, we will surely miss seeing him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

So bittersweet Rev. Hogman's passing is. I always enjoyed visiting with him on Sunday's at the Rimoka Service in recent years. He loved to talk about his family and what each of you were up to. A most memorable moment in time for me, is seeing his deep and abiding joy in singing 'Jesus Loves Me' with all the grandkids at the Kinnaird's 50th Anniversary Noralynn. This vision is embedded in my brain, with his hands quietly folded and head down in prayer as he sang those heartfelt words. He has left a meaningful legacy. His life mattered.

Dear Hogman family - I am so sorry to hear of Don's leaving his earthly home, but am rejoicing that he is reunited with sweet Vi and all his predecessors and mostly with his Lord and Saviour!
I always enjoyed Don and Vi, and even after Vi left us, I would have little visits with Don at IGA when he came in. I always got an update on what was happening with Wayne, Noralynn, Eric and family, Sara and anyone else he felt like sharing about.
He will be missed!
Sending my love and heartfelt sympathy to you all!
Carol
