Marcel Ernest Joseph Potvin of Wetaskiwin AB, passed away on March 25, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife, Donalda; 2 sons, Mark and Sean; 2 stepdaughters, Jennifer (Brian) and Tia (John); 3 grandchildren, Gage, Faith and Presley; siblings, Lorraine (Trevor), Joaques, Solange (Jean-Marc).
He is predeceased by his parents, Marie and Gerard and his very special aunt, Cecile and uncle Ernest.
Marcel was born on June 22, 1959 in Ottawa Ontario. He spent 9 years in the Canadian Armed Forces training to be an air plane mechanic. In 1996 he came to Alberta to work as a professional truck driver. In 1998, he began dating his favourite Leduc Truck Stop waitress and after many years of living together, they decided to finally make it “official” on July 22, 2006. Committed and loyal in every way, he spent 16 years driving for the same company and made the difficult decision to begin working for another. The switch turned out to be a pleasant surprise and he very much enjoyed the new atmosphere. A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Sacred Heart Church in Wetaskiwin.
