Lena Comm (Derksen) was born on June 12, 1941 in Buffalo Head Prairie, Alberta to parents Helena and Isaac Derksen, and passed away on January 14, 2017 in Red Deer, Alberta at the age of 75 years. Lena was the eldest of five children and was married to Dan Comm in 1966. She is lovingly remembered by her sisters Carol King and Anne Nagata; her step-daughter Connie Dick; and her step-son Dennis Comm. Lena was predeceased by her husband Dan in 1987; her brother Larry; her sister Susan; and two step-daughters Lynn and Nancy. Donations in Lena’s name are gratefully accepted to Claws and Paws or any charity of your choice.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at the Ponoka Funeral Home.
