It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom at the age of 86 years, whom was predeceased by her husband, Kayo and great-great grandson, Hunter. Mom will be lovingly remembered and missed by her son, Steven (Sharon) Blackwell; daughters, Carol Bodie, Darlene (Ross) Hilgartner, Helen (Scott) Williams, ten grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
A service will be held at the First United Church (5115 51 Avenue, Wetaskiwin) on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. The family requests no flowers and as per Mom’s wishes, donations will be gratefully accepted to the Alberta Diabetes Foundation (1-020 Li Ka Shing Centre for Health, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, T6G 2E1) or the Heart & Stroke Foundation (100-119 14 Street NW, Calgary, Alberta, T2N 1Z6).
