It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Huppie on October 30, 2017 at the Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre, at the age of 88 years.
James is survived by his wife Helen of Ponoka; children Darlene Heidt (Larry) of Houston, Texas, David (Mary) of Abbotsford, British Columbia, Lyle (Susan) of Fort McMurray, and Larry of Lac La Hache, British Columbia; grandchildren Tracy, Candice, Kristy, Derek, Kaylita, and Brent; great-grandchildren Kristen, Evan, Daylen, Lilie, and Milo; sisters Evelyn and Lorette; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Wade; parents Victor and Laura Huppie; granddaughter Shelley-Ann; brothers Eddy, Harvey, and Alan; and father-in-law and mother-in-law George and Ann Hunter.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Ponoka Funeral Home on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Deacon Rollie Comeau officiating.
Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
