Howard was born in Millet, Alberta. He passed away after a lengthy illness in the Wetaskiwin Hospital Long-Term Care, Unit 33 on September 21, 2016 at the age of 80.
Howard is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughter, Wendy (Dean) Furuness; granddaughter, Gillian Furuness; sister, Adena Smith-Forth; and brother, Art (Ruth) Ertman. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Barbara Ertman; son, Gregory Ertman; parents, Kris & Wilhelmina Ertman; and brother, Ben Ertman.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
