On August 25, 2012, Dorothy Ellen Sawkiewicz of Wetaskiwin passed away at the of 89 years.
Dorothy is lovingly remembered by her children; Lorraine (Henry) Just of Vernon, B.C., Ron McKenna of Wetaskiwin, Marvin “Chad” McKenna of Victoria, B.C. and Mike (Bobbi) Sawkiewicz of Wetaskiwin; grandchildren, Michael, Jimmy, Sherry, Darrin, Jannelle, Amanda, Devon, and Mikayla and numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Strandlund, Francis McCabe and brother, Earl (Holda) Atwater as well as numerous other relatives and many friends.Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Mike on August 26, 2008; daughter, Shirley Ruskowsky; siblings, Hazel Young, Malcolm Atwater, Dorcas Schultz; parents, Raymond and Nellie Atwater.
Funeral Service will be held at Baker Funeral Chapel on Friday, August 31, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Ruth Lumax officiating. Cremation with interment in the Wetaskiwin Memorial Cemetery.
