To the family who have included me as one of them for many years ...

May God hold you close and give you good memories to bring you through this time of loss. I will always remember her as a loving and caring person who walked as fast as I could run! Good memories of family haystack dinners. In reference to her family she raised them right.

Sorry I cannot make to the service because of previous commitments

Dear Vern, Ivan, Sherry Lee and families,

We are so sorry for your loss. Doreen was such a wonderful influence on CUC campus and in our church. We so admired her smile and enthusiasm in playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. I (Jan) appreciated all the years she spent in our ladies prayer group. She will be missed. May you feel God's loving arms around you and cling to the promise of his soon return when once again your family will be united.

Love and prayers,
Brian and Jan

I will always remember Doreen for her friendliness and smiles. I first met her as secretary in the music building at CUC. She was always such a hard worker making sure recital programs, band and choir programs were always typed up to perfection. I especially remember from those days her amazement at Melizma the resident cat in the music building sharing almost every day my homemade sandwich with me...Wanting the homemade bread with nothing on it! She will be missed greatly until The Ressurection Morning.

We were saddened to hear of Doreens' passing. Our condolences to Vern and the family. Doreen was always fun to be around and when we were students at CUC she treated us kindly and made us feel like a part of her community. She was right there when we had our first baby while at school and was always so supportive. She will be missed but fondly remembered.

Doreen was a lovely lady who I got to know while working in the sheep skin factory at the college in 1980. She was always interested in what I was doing and was so much fun working with her. She attended my bridal shower, and also my daughters baby shower.
Threw the years we enjoyed seeing her at church, where she smiled, then I'd get a hug, then the church bulletin.
Do to previous commitments, I am unable to attend the service for Doreen.
With Gods promise of life everlasting, we shall be together again. We shall be with God! And the life we live then will be beyond the greatest joy we can imagine now. Our reunion is not so far away. Life will soon begin again.
Holding you close to our Hearts and lifting you Vern, Ivan & family to God so you will feel peace and comfort. Today, tomorrow & always.🌷
With love and precious memories, Kellie Berg

Vern, Ivan, Sherry Lee and families: I am very saddened by your loss. Your family has been part of my memories since I was old enough to remember! Besides being neighbors for awhile, Doreen and Lois became lifelong friends and always found each other even when they did not live close together! My love and prayers r with you! Marsha

I've known Doreen since High School days at Canadian Union College. She lived in Rosedale Valley like I did so we walked together to the Hilltop for classes and social events. She was a social butterfly and so much fun! Have missed our communications in recent years, but glad I saw her a year ago when she called me by name when I walked into her room.
My sincere sympathy to Vern and his family and other family members.
