Blanche Alma Hoar (nee Nelson) was born on December 3, 1918 in Wetaskiwin, Alberta and passed away on January 14, 2018 in Ponoka, Alberta at the age of 99 years. She is lovingly remembered by her son Gerry Hoar (Arlene);grandson Dave (Amber) and great-grandchildren Jack, Josie, and Lauren; grandson Mike (Alyne) and great-grandchildren Maggie and Ryan; granddaughter Bryanne Alyward (Jesse); her daughter Lauraine Weir (Doug); grandson Jonathan (Jean) and great-grandchild Nixon; grandson Sean (Shayna) and great-grandchild Finnegan; her son Bill Hoar (Dennie) and grandchildren Erin (Dieter) and Paul (Janelle); her daughter Marilyn Hoar (Gord); her son Greg Hoar (Donna) and grandchildren Richelle, Taya and Brian; her sister Esther Nelson of Calgary; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Blanche was predeceased by her husband Don and her parents Elof and Thea Nelson. A Funeral Service was held on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ponoka United Church with Reverend Robin King officiating.
