In loving memory of our dear father, grandfather & great grandfather, Arnold Frederick Pubantz, who passed away peacefully on Nov 9, 2017 at the age of 96.
Born in Ostrowy, Poland, Arnold came to Canada at the age of seven with his parents, Edward and Leokadia, and baby brother Gordon. The family farmed in the Pipestone, Alberta area. After service overseas in WWII, he returned to Pipestone where he married his true love, Lully, in 1949 and they operated the Pipestone Store for five years before moving briefly to Wetaskiwin. He started his career with Humphrey Windows in Edmonton, before moving to Winnipeg in 1961, where Arnold was the general manager of Humphrey Aluminum Products for 27 years. Arnold and Lully returned to Edmonton to be closer to more of their families in 1990.
Arnold leaves to mourn his daughters Theresa (Alec) Young, Sandra (Brian) Moschansky & son Lorne (Corinne) Pubantz. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren; Nadene (Sheldon), Ian, Eric Edward, Laura (Jim), Katie, Kristina (Marko), Eric Lorne, great grandchildren; Averi, Evelina, Brendan, Cashton, Colton; sister Lydia Perrin, sister-in-law Lynn Holmlund, brother-in-law Bill Hussell, as well as numerous very special nieces, nephews and friends. Arnold was predeceased by his beloved wife of 56 years, Lully (Holmlund), his parents Edward & Leokadia (Werner), brother Gordon (Gertrud), sister Leona (Bob), and brother-in-law Ralph Perrin. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the charity of one’s choice, if desired.
