Anna Bartsch was born in Altona, Mantioba to parents Henry and Maria Schroeder and died in Chilliwack, British Columbia after a long struggle with her health.
Anna is lovingly remembered by her daughter Valerie Aymont of Chilliwack; son Jackson MacKenzie (Jessi) of Edmonton; son Darwyn Bartsch (Gem) of Chandler, Arizona; daughter Sheila Bartsch of Ponoka; her grandchildren Trish (Ken), Tasha (Jason), Kiersten, Dani (Kolten), and Harmony; great-grandchildren Austyn, Liam, Malayna, Tristan, and Ryleigh; step-grandson Christopher; her brother Abe; brother-in-law Menno; sisters-in-law Anne, Helena, Sue, and Mildred; her extended family Joyce and her children Teta, Kagi, Mali, and Bobo; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Anna was the "adopted" mom and grandma of many people who entered her life.
She was predeceased by her husband Henry in 1998; her parents; and her siblings Henry, Peter, John, Jacob, Phil, Mary, Corny, Dave, and Margaret.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Martin Brothers Funeral Home (1270 Ryder Street, Hope, British Columbia).
A Funeral Service will be held at the Open Door SDA Church in Abbotsford, British Columbia at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2017. The Interment Service will be held at the Northern Lights Cemetery in Edmonton.
