Allan Berdette Reynolds

February 17, 1925 ~ August 23, 2017 (age 92) 92 Years Old

Allan Berdette Reynolds, known as A. Bert Reynolds, was born Feb. 17, 1925.  Raised in Wetaskiwin, he served time in the RCAF. After returning home safely, he decided to explore Europe and Mexico.  Bert then returned to his home in Wetaskiwin as an Education teacher and became the author of the publication “Siding 16", Vol. 1 & 2, which depicted the history of the Wetaskiwin area. Marrying Mardell Genevieve Peterson, the newlyweds soon decided to move to British Columbia to explore a new region and teach special needs children in the Kelowna Mission area school district.  Not long after did Bert succumb to his destiny, contributing his time to writing and the necessity of philanthropy. He accomplished his mission.   Amen and Thank you dear Bert!


Bert is survived by his nieces and nephews (in order of birth),  Allison Carey-JordonKnox and family, Byron Reynolds and family, Shelley Carey-Armstrong and family, Susan Reynolds-Shippelt-Durk and families, Mark Reynolds,  Stanley Carey and family, Judith Reynolds-Olson and family, Jill Reynolds and family, Teresa Carey-Blanco and family,  Dianne Reynolds-Wilson and her daughter, Patricia Wilson-Albers;  Mardell's family, Patricia Peterson-Ware and families, and Darryl Peterson and family. 
Bert was  predeceased by his father, Edward (Ted) Andrew Reynolds; and mother, Gwendolyn Evarts-Reynolds; His beloved wife, Mardell Genieve Peterson; brothers,  Bud Reynolds, Stan Reynolds; and sister Eleanor Reynolds-Carey. 


Most honourably mentioned is his chosen family within the Kelowna St. Paul's United Church.  We thank you for your loving friendship.  He treasured that then and forever!

Any honorariums or donations can be made to the Kids with Cancer Society  in Edmonton, Alberta.  Thank you for your kindness and thoughts.
